Back Track - Year 2006, The Pinnacles -2 of 2

We woke up early in the morning around 5 am. We took our breakfast and then prepare ourself for the tough hike...

The starting point was a bit difficult. But that shall warmed you out for the next level of challenge. After hiking on most of roots and trees, we'll start to rock climb all the way up to the peak..Nothing much in the mid of the rock climb except some plants, rocks, insect and ..errr.. if you are lucky enough, you'll see some snakes maybe .. our tour guide indeed told us to be careful when trying to grab on those tree roots .. it might be something else ... hehehe ... One of our members bitten by leech while hiking .. and guess where she got bitten... it's on her ass .... ha ha ha ha

The most scary thing was when we reached the 1st ladder. This is where all the climb would be 90 degrees...try to look back while you are climbing the ladders, you see nice view of the clouds .. on the other hand, you might shiver a bit ... as if you fall, it'll be history.

It was a tiring climb but then it was worth the climb to see The Pinnacles...We were given a lunch box each before our climb. So we all rest, eat and took a lot of photos...

After a while, it's time to go down. Going down is much more challenging. Some path that we need to grab on the rope and used our legs to find some holes to steps on... and the best is.... It starts to RAIN ... and this has caused the going down journey much harder.

We were so exhausted and all of us sat on the rock by rock to go down. And some thing happens to me which really made my face turned green. There is actually a ground that i stepped on which i thought it was solid. My leg actually slipped into it and I pulled my leg out and what i saw was down there was actually a big cave filled with all the sharp rocks... Straight away my leg got numb. My tour guide told me that if i were really falls down there, nobody will able to find my body ... as no one explore those cave before. We were stung by those mosquitoes. Very poisonous and the level of itchiness really unbearable. We all went for a jab when flew back to KL...

OK...below is how we looked like when we came down from pinnacles....
